Online shopping - price too high?

Read a discussion in cozycot regarding blogshops are selling too high.

When I enter the sites they mentioned, I find the prices are super affordable and not as ex as they mentioned ($25 - $35), I think is normal and still cheaper than retail shops). They even criticized the blogshops.

I think these ladies don't know how the online biz works.

If you think to start up an online business and sure can earn quick money, you are wrong.

And if you think we jet up the prices and we earn like mad, super duper wrong loh. Everything now so ex, cost price high, air tickets, accommodation, cargo, storage, photoshoot, advertisement, hire models, etc These are all costs(-_-), sadly they didn't see it.

All blogshop owners spent their time sourcing, have to make sure no design clashes with others, maintain website, etc......they (including us) work long hours. Time is $$$ also.

Although some said Bugis village cheaper, while indeed is true, but have to note that there are many same designs but different quality apparels. Online blogshops may bring in the better quality.

For manufacturing of apparels, it takes weeks or months to complete. It's not easy especially if you are contacting overseas manufacturer.

Maybe let us get more info before we jump into conclusions if blogshops are jetting up the prices.

Exercise

Do you exercise regularly?

I'm a super lazy bum and hate to exercise. I always gives excuses that I'm tired after work or no stamina to run, blah blah blah........

Not sure why suddenly I got the urge to do exercise. I just felt I really have to do some exercise to strengthen my bones and to stay healthy. Everyday, I just sat in front of the PC and my bum is getting bigger and arms getting flabby.....am I going to stay like that and age like a typical 'Auntie'.

I gradually feel my body is stiff and not flexible at all. So I decided to do YOGA!!!!

Fortunately I have a nice colleague recommended a yoga class mainly for ladies.
The studio was 'chio' and I feel very relax cos the ladies there are all friendly. The class is small about 8-10 ladies per session.

I didn't know Yoga is so 'shiok', after 1st trial lesson, I signed up immediately for 14 sessions and looking forward to every Tuesday session.

The teacher was a pretty lady and she doesn't look like she's in her late fifties. OMG, this is the magic of yoga.

After 3 sessions, yoga really improves my sleep. Now I can sleep throughout the night soundly, super happy.

These are some of the benefits if you practice yoga:

Excellent toning of the muscle

I was told that yoga won't makes you look muscular but you will look lean and slender (which is what I'm aiming for)

Bloggers (the black sheeps) asking for Freebies

I read about this news from Yahoo "Food blogger who demands free meal sparks outrage online".

This incident taught us one thing - COMMUNICATION. The whole picture seems that both parties (the blogger and the PR manager) didn't mentioned the T&C so ended up a miscomm.

Read about lots of bad comments and people are throwing 'shit' at him.

However, if you read about Xiaxue's blog(www.xiaxue.blogspot.com), it's another side of the whole 'saga'.

He could be the victim, if yes, then he is super 'sway'.

His reputation has gone down the drain......no matter how he clarified, also kanna scolded by the people.

Maybe we should not just based on one side story from media to condemn this food blogger.
Perhaps in future, let's wait a little longer for more details before we start to throw 'bombs' at the accused.

But if the media is stating the truth, I think the only wrong thing is throwing the credit card, it's so disrespectful to the staff. Even though a person can be super duper angry, they should not do such an act.

This rude action reminded me of the patients which I had handled previously. I felt my colleagues should not be treated badly by this kind of people.

I'm been thinking, why some people can't control their temper? Don't they feel that making a scene in public, is also making a fool of yourself at the same time?

If you can show respect and speak nicely, I'm sure the other party will do the same. Even though the other party is rude to you, be a professional, don't act like them.


Side track and talk about the blogging industry.

Many people started to call 'bloggers' as 'beggers'. I think we should not based on one incident and starts to think all 'bloggers' are bad eggs.

I do worked with number of bloggers to help to promote my Milly Walker.
Most of them are super nice ladies. It's a good business relations between most of us. The bloggers I have approached are very professional and stated their T&C clearly. When they asked for the sponsored items, they sounded very 'pia seh' too.

I'm not trying to side them and of cos, definitely there are black sheeps in this industry.
I will tell you which are the types that spoiled this industry's image:

Number One: The ones who claimed they are super popular
Some 'unknown' bloggers try to cheat us with their fake reports. They emailed us their stats report and claimed super high traffic. They thought we are stupid or what? When we went to check, their traffic rank is low like 10 viewers per day?!

Huh~ I understand they also want to earn quick money and also wear nice clothes like the popular model bloggers, but please, don't use your fake reports to cheat other blog shop sellers.


Number Two: The greedy ones
Another type of blogger I cannot 'tahan' is those super greedy one. Even though in our email agreement is 2 sponsored items, they will asked for 4 items.We do give them as we hope they can feature our products since they showed interest. Sadly, sometimes only 1-2 items featured. I don't know where my other items gone to??

My skin is clear from acne so decided to use whitening cream to improve my dull, uneven skin tone.

I need something that have oil control function as well as whitening function.

It is true that the cream texture is light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I like the lemon smell.
But does it really helps to whiten your complexion or shine-free for 8 hrs, I doubt so.

After 1 month plus of using, I still look the same and about 4 hours, my skin gets oily.

But I still continue to use it cos I like the texture and it's still acts as a good moisturizer. Shall continue another month to see if there's improvement....must be patient

I hv tried many many brands, but finally a brand that suits my combination skin - Vichy Normaderm range.

As in 30s, skin starts to get more sensitive and can get into serious acne problems.
I used several products and they made my skin more dry and my acne got worse.

Luckily I started to use Vichy 1 year plus ago and really really helps to clear my acne.
